For many construction and development firms, those priorities closely reflect the work they already do every day.
Small businesses continue playing a critical role in driving economic growth, infrastructure development, and innovation across the country.

What Is the Patriot Pitch Competition?
The Patriot Pitch is a national business competition, hosted by the SBA, open to eligible small businesses that have utilized qualifying SBA capital products. Think SBA loans, surety bonds, or other SBA-backed financing. If your firm has used SBA resources to grow, you likely qualify, and this competition was designed to spotlight exactly that story.
Submissions will be evaluated across four stages of judging, progressing toward a live finals event in Washington, D.C., this September. The top finalists will pitch before a panel of notable judges from business, government, and industry, with a national audience watching.

Beyond the Prize: The Business Case for Entering
Even if you don't take home a share of the $1 million, consider what the finals event alone offers. Alongside the live competition, the D.C. event will feature a supplier matchmaking expo, connecting small businesses directly with larger companies and government contracting opportunities. For small GCs, specialty contractors, and developers looking to expand into federal or institutional markets, these kinds of networking environments can create valuable long-term opportunities. Add in networking opportunities with investors, industry leaders, policymakers, and prominent speakers from across business and government, and the event quickly becomes more than just a pitch competition. For many businesses, the networking, supplier matchmaking, and visibility opportunities may prove just as valuable as the competition itself.
